For centuries, Scandinavian sailors spoke with dread of the Kraken - a legendary sea monster that swam the ocean off Norway and Greenland and would drag entire ships under the waters.
Thankfully, we're fairly safe here in landlocked Edmonton, but it makes for some good Halloween horror chills up your spine. Sit back and relish the spookiness with one of these Kraken Rum cocktails!

Kraken and Cola
1 part Kraken® Original
3 parts Cola
Lime wedge
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients in a glass filled with ice. Stir to mix and enjoy!

The Buttery Kraken
1 part Kraken® Original
1 part butterscotch schnapps
Splash of Cola
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients in a glass filled with ice. Stir to mix and enjoy.

The Bloody Limb
1 part Kraken® Original
1/2 part sweet vermouth
1/2 part Cherry Heering
1/4 part lemon Juice
Top with orange soda
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients in a Collins glass. Add ice and top with blood orange soda. Garnish with a blood orange wheel.

Black Mojito
2 parts Kraken® Original
2 lime slices
Muddled mint leaves
1 tbsp. sugar
Top with soda
DIRECTIONS
In a Collins glass, add mint leaves sugar and lime, muddle together. Add ice and Kraken®, then top with soda.

Coconut White Krussian
1 part Kraken® Original
1 part coconut tequila
1 part half-and-half milk or coconut milk
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients to a rocks glass with ice; garnish with grated nutmeg.

Krak-O-Lantern
1 part Kraken® Original
1/2 parts brown sugar and clove syrup*
1/4 parts allspice dram
1 tbsp. canned pumpkin pie filling
Top with hot water
DIRECTIONS
Combine ingredients in a Glass Coffee Mug, top with hot water and stir. Garnish with grated cinnamon. *Syrup: 1:1 brown sugar to water. Simmer with a handful of cloves for 10 minutes. Strain and allow to cool.

The Kramble
1 3/4 parts Kraken® Black Label
1/2 parts crème de cassis
1/4 parts lemon juice
4 – 5 muddled blackberries
DIRECTIONS
Muddle Blackberries in the bottom of a large rocks glass. Combine all other ingredients into a shaker tin with crushed ice. Dump on top of the muddled Blackberries. Top with more crushed ice. Garnish with more Blackberries.
